You will manage the engine crew, schedule watch rotations and maintain detailed technical logs. Coordination with the deck department for efficient fuel consumption and voyage planning is also required.

Requirements

  • OKSTCW/CoC to Chief Engineer Certificate (approved for vessels ≥5,000 GT)
  • OKValid US, EU or Flag State medical certificate
  • OKMinimum 3 years recent experience as Chief Engineer on a general cargo vessel
  • OKProven ability to manage a team of 5‑8 engine ratings
  • OKFamiliarity with IMO MARPOL, ISM and ISPS regulations
