Daily duties include planning and supervising routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and managing fuel consumption to meet schedule requirements. You will coordinate watch schedules, conduct regular inspections, and keep detailed technical logs for the ship’s owners and classification societies. The role also involves training junior engineers and ensuring all safety and environmental procedures are strictly followed.

Requirements

- OK- Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (CoC) to STCW 2010, approved for vessels ≥ 5,000 GT
- OK- Minimum 5 years experience as Chief Engineer or Senior Engineer on a general cargo or bulk carrier
- OK- Valid Medical Certificate and Seafarer’s Identity Document (SID)
- OK- Proven knowledge of IMO, MARPOL, and SOLAS regulations and ability to conduct audits
- OK- Strong leadership, communication skills and proficiency with engine monitoring software
