The Chief Officer will be the second‑in‑command, responsible for safe navigation and cargo operations on a 10,000‑ton general cargo ship. You will support the Captain in watch‑keeping, bridge management and crew supervision.

You will stand a 4‑hour watch, monitor navigation equipment and maintain the ship’s stability plan. Oversee loading, stowage and securing of cargo, ensuring compliance with IMO and flag state regulations. Conduct safety drills, manage the deck department and prepare daily reports for the Master.

Requirements

  • OK- Valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency (COC) on board a General Cargo Vessel, STCW 2010 endorsement
  • OK- STCW 95 basic safety training, including FPFF, ARPA and medical first aid
  • OK- Minimum 3 years sea service as Chief Officer or Senior Deck Officer on a cargo vessel
  • OK- Proven experience in cargo planning, stability calculations and watch‑keeping
  • OK- Good command of English, both spoken and written, and ability to work in a multicultural crew
