The Electrician will be part of the deck department on an oil/chemical tanker, responsible for maintaining electrical systems and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work independently. The Electrician will also collaborate with other crew members to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.

The Electrician's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, troubleshooting electrical issues, and testing electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly. The Electrician will also be responsible for maintaining records of electrical work and reporting any issues to the chief engineer. Additionally, the Electrician will participate in safety drills and training exercises to maintain a high level of safety awareness.
