The Electro‑Technical Officer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of all electrical and electronic equipment on a 8,000‑TEU container ship. You will work closely with the chief engineer and deck crew to ensure safe and efficient vessel performance.
Daily duties include troubleshooting and repairing generators, propulsion control systems, navigation electronics and communication gear. You will conduct routine inspections, perform preventive maintenance and keep detailed technical logs. The role also requires supervising junior electricians and coordinating spare‑part inventories while at sea.

Requirements

- OK- STCW 95/96 Electrical Engineer Certificate of Competency (or equivalent)
- OK- Minimum 2 years experience as ETO on a container or bulk carrier
- OK- Proficiency with PLC, automation, and shipboard IT systems
- OK- Ability to read and interpret marine electrical schematics and diagrams
- OK- Good command of English, both spoken and written
