The Master will be the ultimate authority on board a modern crude oil tanker, responsible for safe navigation, cargo handling and compliance with international regulations. He/she will lead the deck department and ensure the vessel meets the owner's performance and environmental standards.

The Master will plan voyages, supervise cargo loading and discharge, and monitor ballast operations. He/she will conduct bridge watches, review weather and traffic information, and make tactical decisions to optimise speed and fuel consumption. He/she will also oversee safety drills, maintain the ship's log and liaise with port authorities and the company’s technical team.

Requirements

  • OKValid STCW Master Unlimited Certificate of Competency (CoC) for oil tankers
  • OKMinimum 5 years sea service as Master or Chief Officer on crude oil tankers of 20,000 dwt or more
  • OKCompleted advanced tanker training (e.g., IMO Model Course 1.10 or equivalent) and familiar with cargo operations
  • OKGood standing with the flag
