The 2nd Officer will serve as the navigation officer aboard a modern oil/chemical tanker, responsible for safe passage planning and watchkeeping. He/she will support the Chief Officer in cargo operations and ensure compliance with hazardous cargo regulations.
Primary duties include maintaining the ship's navigation equipment, updating charts and ECDIS, and standing the 12‑hour watch on the bridge. The officer will assist in cargo loading and discharge plans, monitor tank cleaning operations, and conduct safety drills. Routine inspections of lifesaving and fire‑fighting gear are also part of the schedule.

Requirements
- OK- STCW 2010 Officer of the Watch (OOW) and Advanced Fire Fighting certificates, valid 2nd Officer CoC for oil/chemical tankers
- OK- Minimum 2 years sea service as 2nd Officer or 3rd Officer on oil/chemical tankers
- OK- Proficiency with ECDIS, GMDSS and cargo handling software
- OK- Good knowledge of MARPOL Annex I & II and IBC Code
- OK- Ability to pass a medical exam and drug test, and hold a valid seafarer’s passport
