The 3rd Officer will join the deck department on a modern bulk carrier, assisting the Chief Officer and navigating the vessel through international routes. You will be responsible for safety checks, cargo operations oversight, and maintaining deck equipment.

Day‑to‑day duties include standing watch as Officer of the Watch, supervising cargo loading and discharge, and conducting routine inspections of lifeboats, fire‑fighting gear, and navigation equipment. You will also prepare and file all required documentation for cargo stowage and stability calculations. In addition, you will support the bridge team during maneuvering and assist in emergency drills.

Requirements

  • OK- STCW 95/96, Officer of the Watch (Second Class) certificate
  • OK- Valid 3rd Officer Continuous Discharge Certificate (CoC) for bulk carriers
  • OK- Minimum 12 months sea service as a deck officer on a bulk carrier or similar vessel
  • OK- Proficiency in Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS) and ECDIS
  • OK- Good command of English, both written and spoken
