Daily duties involve monitoring power distribution, troubleshooting faults, performing preventive maintenance on generators, thrusters and navigation systems, and keeping detailed logs of all technical activities. The ETO also supports the chief engineer during cargo operations and emergency drills.

Requirements
- OK1 - STCW 2nd Edition ENG1 Medical Certificate
- OK2 - ETO Certificate of Competency (STCW)
- OK3 - Minimum 2 years experience on oil/chemical tankers
- OK4 - Knowledge of cargo handling, tank cleaning and safety systems
- OK5 - Proficient in English and basic computer use
