The Electrical Engineer will maintain and troubleshoot the vessel’s power generation, distribution and automation systems that support cargo handling and safety equipment. You will work closely with the deck crew to ensure all electrical assets meet operational and environmental standards.
Key duties include routine inspections of generators, switchboards and emergency power sets, and carrying out preventive maintenance according to the ship’s plan. You will diagnose and repair faults in propulsion control, cargo heating and tank monitoring instrumentation. Accurate logs must be kept and all work performed in line with classification society requirements.

Requirements
- OK- STCW 2010 Electrical Engineer Certificate of Competency (or equivalent) valid for tankers
- OK- Minimum 2 years experience as Electrical Engineer on crude oil or product tanker
- OK- Proficiency with PLC, SCADA and marine automation systems
- OK- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, classification society rules and safety regulations
- OK- Good command of English, both spoken and written
