Ro-Ro, short for roll-on/roll-off, describes ships that carry wheeled cargo (cars, trucks, trailers and machinery) which is driven on and off the vessel over ramps, rather than lifted by crane. Examples include car carriers and vehicle ferries.

Ruddership rudder
A rudder is the flat, movable surface at the stern of a ship, turned by the steering gear, that steers the vessel. By deflecting the water flowing past it, the rudder generates a sideways force that turns the ship.
