The Bosun is a key member of the deck crew on a Bulk carrier, responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the vessel's deck and superstructure. This includes ensuring all equipment is in good working order and that the deck is safe and secure for cargo operations. The Bosun will work closely with the Chief Officer to prioritize tasks and manage the deck crew.
The Bosun's day-to-day duties at sea will include supervising the deck crew during cargo operations, performing routine maintenance tasks such as painting and cleaning, and ensuring that all safety equipment is in good working order. The Bosun will also be responsible for monitoring the vessel's stores and inventory, and for ordering supplies as needed. Additionally, the Bosun will participate in drills and training exercises to maintain the crew's readiness for emergency situations.

Requirements
- OKMust hold a valid Bosun or Able Seaman certificate of competency.
- OKMust have at least 2 years of experience as a Bosun or in a similar role on a Bulk carrier.
- OKMust have a valid STCW certificate, including proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats.
- OKMust be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- OKMust have good communication and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
